- What consequences might arise if different readers and writers think of proofing, formatting, and producing final pieces of writing differently? What kind of problems or opportunities might arise? Being a good writer, it’s very important to you'll be a good reader, proofreader, and document should formatted other than knowing some good writing elements, like good grammar, punctuation, thesaurus, vocabularies and many more things. Presentation is very important for any deliverable things, like publication, official letter or even a daily note. For example, I’m writing a note, and just write heads, maybe I can’t recognize, what else after tile words or head. Well, I’m giving another example, this is very common to mostly everyone, we typed a phone number and we forgot to enter the title or who’s number, I’m sure after long time, we can’t recognize, who’s number. So even a phone number is important to write properly, Name/Title and the number. Now imagine about a document, where we are going to inform some specific information, it should be proper formatted, proof checked and presentable, not only in format and design, but also in run-on, hence, reader will enjoy to read the document or any statement as a complete information. What do you think about your peers’ responses to revision? How is your sense of the goals, purposes, and benefits of revision similar and/or different from your peers’? Why is this significant? I'm truly endless thankful to edx.org and Arizona State University for their “ENG101 English Composition” course. There are so many ways, we can learn English, but here I’m fall in love to writing English. I’m simply enjoying my every step of English writing, feeling more competence now in my writing. When we are working on an assignment, always trying to follow, what exactly assignment wants from us? But in other hand, when we are working on any writing assignment, we must treat our self as a reader as well as critic before we finally submit any writing assignment. some silly mistakes may distract the reader’s mind to continue reading. Although, the best wat to learn from your mistakes is to admit them rather than to blame them on someone else. I’m so lucky, that I got very good feedback for this week assignment, like, “You depict a clear story of your encounter with this family.” Again, from the same peer said, “Did not really talk about the community you chose.” So I’ll also focus in this matter and will revise the project again and include community in my project. At the end of peer review, I got “our images were very clear about the meaning. Showing the roses, the family, where you met them. All was an important part of the story.” Means my writing project is presentable to my readers. Which encouraged me a lot to implant more elements for my readers motivation with correction and improvisation of my writing. Revision causes an essayist to think about his bit of writing to guarantee he isn't going amiss from his thoughts, and furthermore influences him to advance his written work by refining the thoughts as he sees it, over and over, it stirs his considerations, and this offers comprehensibility to my readers. Title: Erlen, 14, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil http://jamesmollison.com/books/where-children-sleep/erlen-14-rio-de-janeiro-brazil/ Erlen, an 14 years old Brazilian pregnant teen, living in Rio de Janerio, also simply known as Rio, the second-most populous city in Brazil and the sixth-most populous in the Americas. A glance at the figures from the IBGE (Brazil's government statistics bureau,) reveals that 16.2 million people (8.5 percent of the population,) still live on less than R$70 per month – the equivalent of around US$1.30 per person per day – the limit set by President Rousseff as the extreme poverty line. "Teen pregnancy" isn't the outcome of indiscriminate sexual exercises, as prevalent views as of now state. It is regularly overlooked that in the midst of the poorer social sections parenthood is viewed as an indication of economic well being, given the absence of expert viewpoints. Among the working class, other sociocultural skylines give parenthood the status of an ordeal to be lived in later snapshots of life, when one's expert and monetary lives have been united.
Erlin, a growing teen, who is pregnant and other images shows her deprived living environment, with formal door, a single tiny bed with blue checked bed sheet, a piece of uncovered yellow foam instead of a pillow, beside the bed, some used cloths, s old dark brown color 6 drawers set including 2 missing nobs, at the top there are two plastic bottles, one is transparent and another one is yellow, dusty floor, gray cements sheet at the top of the floor, the whole wall made by various shattered wood. some trashes in yellow plastic bag at outside of the wooden wall, two windows and main door are covered by unscratched white and blue flowers printed cloths. The total living standard shows, poor and unhealthy environment for a pregnant teen and her imminent child. How is your position in your community (e.g., youth, leader, worker) influenced by the place where you live, work, relax? Being a Bangladeshi, we have a great community in Maryland. Specifically, my elder brother Dr. Saifuddin Ahmed, who is a professor of Johns Hopkins University for Population, Family and Reproductive Health. Most of the community members are good friends of my brother and his family. Now I’m also part of the Bangladeshi community since early 2014. Furthermost, the provosts of the family members are extremely educated and working in various utmost organizations in Maryland. Most of them are living in Maryland about more than 30 years, and now they are 3rd generation also grew up here in Maryland. Usually we congregation in US government holidays in addition to we celebrate on December 16 to commemorate the victory of the allied forces over the Pakistani forces in the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971 along with our community youths as Victory day. We celebrate this day as a daylong event for all type of Bangladeshi people. It’s huge gathering of approximately 1000 participants, among performing arts, group chorus, dance and many more things. In the year 2014, since I’m available in USA, my sister in law introduced me as cultural linguistic, so this year all arrangement of victory day delivered in my shoulder. Initially, I was so embarrassed and was not being ready for this circumstance. I got only a couple of months to prepare all the event, I’ve started with some research, how the events were designed in previously? I’ve seen most of the recorded videos, and found the most of the participants were young and kids, and they have not much knowledge about our victory day and liberation war of Bangladesh. Even these young youths are not well in Bangla language. I’ve started searching videos about, how established today’s Bangladesh? What exactly happened during the war? I’ve primed that, this even will be design for why we celebrate victory day? What happened during that nine months in Bangladesh? I found some of my brother’s friends, who physically participated at the war, I learned their stories from them and turned as presentation in English form, so that young youths and other participants can understand. On December 16th, 2014 at 12:00pm the event was started with the visual documentary on Nine Months to Freedom, it was pin silent at the audience. After that I called 7 freedom fighters on the stage, they described their own story during the war, during their presentation, we found everyone was exited, their voice was vibrating, tears drop from their eyes, but they didn’t stop their dictation even for a single moment. I was including chorus song with all adults, young youths and kids, arranged drama on liberation war in English form. At the end we performed national anthem by Rabindra Tagor. I don’t want to be a leader, but the community convey the leadership for the next upcoming event to me and started weekend musical session during the summer for all of these young youth and growing kids. In addition, I’m responsible to teach them Bangla language too. Are there places/spaces you are not allowed to enter or participate? Why?
A community is a small or large social unit who have something in common, such as norms, religion, values, or identity. I’m a part of the community, but not part of the parson to person, it’s not same at all, there are so many conflicts, suppose views, ideology, ethics, behavior these are not same to everyone, and I don’t want to part of that. I don’t want to mix community and community members. Do your friends, family, and co-workers have access to different places than you? Yes, usually we hangout with small community, means our ethics, ideology and thoughts are very similar, if there is any confusing, we discussed and make it solved, for that reason most adults should be more active and compromising. This small community like 6/7 families are very closed, more than like a single family. What spaces are private and what spaces are public? Its belonging to or for the use of one particular person or group of people only, like our own family members, we have a better understanding, respects, views and ethics, which is not comparable with public community where everything is different from one to another. Private space should isolated with trusted, same ethical community and public place should be for all, anyone can participate, there is no personal matter.
